My Background

Hi, I’m Zac (they/them). I am a fat, queer, nonbinary, and neurodivergent therapist. As a licensed social worker, creative, and community-oriented human, I want you to feel safe bringing your full self into our work together without fear of judgment, rejection, or feeling like you need to mask who you are. I believe strongly in the importance of connection, prioritizing things that bring us joy, and staying curious about ourselves and our experiences. Those values guide the way I approach therapy and shape the space we create together.

How I work

I use Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT) as a guiding framework, while tailoring our work to your unique needs, goals, identities, and lived experiences. Depending on what feels supportive for you, I may also integrate mindfulness, therapeutic art-making, realistic self-care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), social justice and feminist theory, and fat and body liberation work. Transparency and collaboration are central to my approach, and I want you to feel empowered, informed, and actively involved in shaping our work together.

I specialize in supporting LGBTQIA+ folx, neurodivergent clients, individuals with interpersonal and family-of-origin trauma, people navigating burnout and workplace trauma, and men over 40 newer to therapy. Above all, I hope our work together helps you feel more connected to yourself, your relationships, your community, and the possibility of living more fully as yourself.
